Our
OStory
Originally, Camp Tejas was a day camp run by Tommy Tate, James' dad, where they served children with disabilities. It was your traditional day camp where kids learned how to ride horses and swim, scuba dive, and play sports. But at the end of the day, the main goal of Camp Tejas was to make everybody feel like somebody.
Now, although our day-to-day operations look quite a bit different, the goal remains the same. Instead of kids, it's businesses, organizations, and non-profits. We expanded our campers from the youth to our entire community.
Camp Tejas is where everybody's somebody.
